My experiment in fixing my sweater has turned into a disaster. I just don’t have enough yarn and I just refuse to buy more so I will put it back the way it was. Since I have lost weight it fits sort of oddly anyway. But first sweater sentiment and all that. So that will be done sometime this week, also I am still working on the garter rib sock. I still find the pattern enjoyable which is a good thing. Socks are one of my favorite things to make but I’m not much for wearing them, go figure. I also want to start a big project soon. I feel the need for a knit that will make my eyes bleed. I’m thinking of casting on for two yes you read that right two different scarves this week and also swatching for the gatsby sweater in fall 06 IK. I really do like the sweater though I might change the neckline. I worry with the girls and my shoulders it might not be as flattering as I would like. but I think it might work. We’ll see I just happen to have the yarn called for in even the same color so I think it might be fate. But instead of doing anything that wonderful I futzed around on my sock. Yes my sock as if it was a real project! In my defense we had a great deal of running around to do related to a purchase and then HWKDD wanted to watch some bad horror. So the sock was entirely reasonable. And it was turkey day week and since I cooked so it might not have been the best week to try and start a bunch of new projects. I did break out the spinning this past weekend. I do so love spinning. Just not sure if I love it enough to invest in a wheel. I can think of so many yarns I want or I could be smart and save it for my yarn over the course of the year. But really I want to so many not cheap projects… Like I need to order the silk garden for my Lady E and I would like to do the rocking socks club. Also 2007 will be the year of the sweater for me I think. Always have a sweater going all the time. I have enough yarn for 7 sweaters in dk/worsted and 2 sweaters in lace weight. So now I just need to pick one and snap to it. The next one will be something with construction because that’s a skill I need to learn.
So um stuff…aka I am still the worlds slowest knitter but it was the holidays so totally valid excuse
