So since I finished the slip stitch socks I had to cast on for some more. Sure Thermal is just one big sock but it’s always useful to have more than one wip. So I started some plain Stockinette socks in this colorway of trekking. I figure that the color changes will be enough to keep me entertained. Also I think any sort of textured stitch would look like ass.

So I ripped the cardi. I wasn’t going to but I dropped a stitch when I was attaching the fronts to the back and at that point my disgust for the project overwhelmed me so I frogged. I might knit the pattern again but I want to see how my friends turns out first. I think if I do knit it again I’m going to make it about 4 inches shorter since I really don’t need a sweater that gives me mondo butt coverage. Thermal is going well and since I’m past the ribbing it’s certainly sped up quite a bit. No clue when I’ll finish but I don’t think it will take forever. So in june I ordered Sundara sock yarn since she was discontinuing those colorways and a couple of weeks ago it finally arrived. It’s amazing how much winding a yarn changes it.

I like it much better all wound up:) I also found this most amazing pattern. Once its finished I am so buying it. Back when the simple knitted bodice came out I really wanted to make it. Until I saw it on so many not slinky people and realized yeah it would look like *ass* on me. However I started thinking and wanted to do something similar but with cables. I always meant to get around to working up a pattern but now I don’t have to since its already *done*. I don’t want to hotlink the images so go here and see it.
RIP giant cardigan. No, that wasn’t meant to be a pun, though I guess it is now.
Sundara Yarn…I’m jealous.
Yes, well, the sweater was asking for it. Maybe next time it will listen to you.
I loved the socks, and trust me, the stockinette socks will whiz by like you had sweatshop workers doing it for you.
Corsica looks very nice!
It’s amazing how completely different a yarn can look on the skein, in the ball, and knitted up. I wonder why I even bother looking at unwound yarn sometimes, since it’s not going to look remotely like that once I knit it.
