I am teh suck at yarn pr0n myself, so I understand your frustration. I’ve found that natural light is best for pics of yarn and FO’s, so all my knitting stuff gets photographed outside on my back steps.

There’s a blur on the door behind the yarn in that first picture. The yarn is beautiful and sharp, though.

If i can’t have brand-new berber carpet with really thick padding, I don’t want carpet at all.

Psh.. your photos are still better than mine. LOL. My main problem is that I have no where to put yarn to take pictures of it that also has decent lighting.

Well…we’re not all going to take photos like Brooklyn Tweed. Oh well. But you can see the blur in the first comparison, the ones with the swift behind it. I try to do it too, but I just mess around. My latest Icarus photo was an attempt at the “sexy blur.”

Wood floors, wood floors! (I like them because they=fewer allergies.)
