My fabulous husband gets to come home soon YAY. Much umm *censored* since family reads this blog. But I am so excited. It’s been a long time. Too long since I had the pleasure of his company. He even read my blog and liked it. Probably because the previous post was all sappy about how much I miss him:) I’ve been on a big reading binge lately. Hardly shocking to those that know my relentless appetite for information. I have been good though and have been getting them at the library because you know more books would be something like a tragedy. Every time I want to buy one I just keep in mind we will be moving some day and the idea of having another 10 boxes of books to move isn’t a good one. I make a wee exception for knitting books since they are more likely to get used. My love affair with Jane (Austen) continues even if I’m to the point where I’m reading novels that star her as a character. I just have this love for regency england. Justin says that they were a bunch of “Useless Aristocrats” I’ve tried explaining to him what they did but he doesn’t see why they were necessary and then tends to go out on a rant about how etiquette was invented or came to its fullest fruition in France to delineate between the upper classes and the peasants. He has a point since I believe even today having good manners signifies respect for those around you and no matter where it came from it just makes people feel appreciated. /end mini rant. I did finally buy the first of several pieces of furniture that match our bed. I hadn’t planned on getting the lingerie chest first but since overstock had only five left…good thing I did too since they sold out of them that day but mine is safe and is somewhere in transit to me already. My grandma in nyc wants to get us one of the dressers as a wedding present. I tried to tell her that A) she got us the stand mixer and B) she does too much for us already but I was arguing in vain. I feel sort of bad about that since I know she’s not made of money. However I will attempt again later today. Not much else to report really… much of it belongs on my knitting blog Just getting things ready for his visit home.
